Cefn Mawr – Food and Retail Development
J-Ross Developments Ltd successfully devised the delivery of a major re-generation project, a new 25,000 sq ft (Net Sales) eco-foodstore on this Town Centre site, re-energising this retail centre and drawing shoppers back to Cefn Mawr. Tesco was selected as the operator creating 140 new jobs. The Town Centre re-development has been the economic generator that re-located the Cefn Druids Football Club to a new purpose built and fully compliant Football Stadium. The planning application for the Town Centre site and the re-location sites was put before a committee in February 2009. The new facilities were constructed by the contracting business in our group of companies, JR Pickstock Ltd.
The development of the project consisted of land assembly of numerous land interests to enable the relocation of Cefn Druids Football Club from its existing Town Centre site. J-Ross Developments worked closely with the Football Club in the design of the up to date facility.
To ensure the re-generation project was a success close partnerships were formed with the Community Council, County Council and regional Government in addition to liaising with national and local politicians.
