Mansion Gardens, Oswestry – Residential Development

A residential development across 4.85 hectares (12 acres) of greenfield and 2.02 hectares (5 acres) of brownfield land adjacent to the Town Centre in Oswestry comprising of 144 residential units and incorporating a new link road and roundabout for site access.

J-Ross Developments Ltd assembled three different land ownerships in order to develop this greenfield site. Following this pre-application detailed consultation took place with the local authority in order to secure detailed planning permission. Upon the acquisition of the site, Geotechnical investigations and mitigation measures were needed, as further investigation uncovered there were contamination issues. This was subsequently resolved and the next step in the development was the provision of special care units to RSL standards and importantly, the new infrastructures to serve the site, which included building a new roundabout and link road.

In addition to this J-Ross Developments successfully acquired 8094 m² (87,123 sq.ft.) to develop a public open space with play areas in accordance with local authority specifications.
