Berwyn Fields, St Martins – Residential Development

This scheme consisted of a proposed residential development on an allocated, greenfield housing site in St. Martins near Oswestry, incorporating 75, two, three, four and five bedroom houses, a new village green and play area on a site of 2.86 hectares (7.067 acres).

This project has seen J-Ross Developments Ltd successfully gain planning consent, granted in February 2009 following consultations with the local planning authority, county highways departments and local stakeholder groups. It also involved securing a development agreement with the landowner to optimise the schemes value.

A full design was created to resolve significant highways, drainage issues and overcoming existing surface drainage issues by implementing a landscaped balance pool.

The layout of the project is based on Government guidance achieving just under 35 units per hectare incorporating Home Zones and Manual for Streets.
