Completion of Smithfield Road Development Site

J-Ross Developments has worked with Aldi to successfully deliver the final part of the Smithfield Road development site in Welshpool.

Detailed planning permission was secured for a new Aldi store earlier this year which benefited from its own dedicated service yard and customer car park, which will bring back into economic use this important town centre site.

The site forms part of the larger redevelopment carried out by J-Ross Developments, which included the relocation of the former livestock market to a new site on the outskirts of the town, the development of the Tesco Store and Smithfield Bell Public House and family restaurant.

We understand that the new Aldi store is due to open in spring 2017, creating in the region of 40 new jobs.
